ABOUT ME
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. I received my Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling with a concentration in Child and Family studies at Roosevelt University.
My diverse training and professional work has inspired and shaped me to be the therapist I am today. I have worked in various different treatment settings including community mental health facilities, hospitals, schools, intensive outpatient programs, as well as private practice.
I received the bulk of my training as an evidence based treatment provider through my role at Rogers Behavioral Health where I served as a therapist in OCD & Anxiety program as well as the Adolescent Depression Recovery Program.
I am trained in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) exposure response prevention (ERP) acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). I am also trained in Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE) and offer individual parent coaching and workshops for parents of anxious children using the SPACE protocol. You can learn more about SPACE here.
As a therapist, I really enjoy genuine human connection. I love hearing my clients unique stories and sharing laughter when appropriate. I believe the clients I work with are so brave and I truly admire their willingness to be vulnerable and share their story with me. You are not alone. Change is possible and I’m here to empower you to be your best self.
In my spare time, I am probably snuggling with my pets, reading, planning my next trip, or belly laughing with friends!
My core values
Values are extremely important to me personally and professionally. Both personally and professionally I strive to be someone who is compassionate, inclusive, and authentic. I am not an expert in anti-oppressive practice or social justice, but I am committed to ongoing learning.
